Step 1
a) The class should split into 5 groups preferably as Romeo & Juliet contains 5 acts
b) Teacher will assign an Act to each group.
c) Using the links provided, go online and do research on your assigned Act to enhance your understanding of the text (spiral progression)
d) Within each group, appoint a leader and then assign members to take charge of different scenes in the allocated Act.
e) Each group will then select the quotations pertinent to their Act so as to include them in the respective comic strips.
Step 2
a) For purpose of standardization and to ensure that there is continuity in the comic strips, the following must be adhered to:
Romeo: wear a white shirt and a black tie
Juliet: wear a pink hair band
Escalus: wear sunglasses
Paris: wear a red shirt
Montague: wear a black jacket with a white flower
Capulet: wear a black jacket with a red flower
Lady Montague: wear a white hair band
Lady Capulet: wear a black hair band
Mercutio: wear a grey shirt
Benovolio:wear a white cap
Tybalt: wear spectacles
Friar Lawrence: wear a fake moustache
Apothecary: wear a pair of sunglasses
Nurse: wear a nurse's headdress
b) Plan out the Act and decide which scenes need to have its photos taken.Apart from your photos, you may also use relevant, existing images available on the internet to supplement your strip.
c) Take the relevant photographs
d) Upload photos into ComicLife and combine with the selected quotations.
e) Create comic strip.
